The goal is to stay 100%. Jiří Mičánek's team wants to take another step towards the title in Most
Three times they have not found an opponent in FIA CEZ Championship in the endurance race. Jakub Knoll and Josef Záruba, in the colours of the Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team, will be looking to extend this streak with another race this weekend. The fourth round of the FIA CEZ Championship will start in Most.
"In the endurance races, we are continuing our program this year - to win the title with Jakub and Pepa. A change awaits us in the sprint race, where instead of Libor Dvořáček, Pepa Záruba will also ride," says team manager Jiří Mičánek Jr.
It will be one of the most hectic race weekends for Josef Záruba in the past two years, also because he has set himself an ambitious personal goal for the pair of sprint races. "In addition to winning the GTC class, I will also want to trouble the GT3s that will be competing. It will be difficult, as Most is a technical track where GT3s have an advantage, but I would like to win outright," says the stalwart of the Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team confidently.
He and Jakub Knoll will have similar ambitions in the endurance race. "Most is a home race for me; I know the track perfectly. We will see what the competition will be like not only in the GTC class, but overall. According to the start list, it looks like there will be a lot of fast cars, so it could be an interesting race," Jakub Knoll says, looking forward to it.
He and Záruba have so far this year been 100% in the GTC class, and they have already been on the podium three times in the overall standings. "It's a symbiosis with Jakub; I believe we will extend our winning streak. For me personally it will be a bit more physically demanding, but with my trainer Karl Kaiser from MuayThai, we continue to prepare at the level of a professional pilot, so I should be able to do it without any problems," says Záruba.
Libor Dvořáček will miss the competition for the first time this season; he will not go to Most due to chronic problems with ligaments in his shoulder. "It's an injury that has affected me in previous seasons; unfortunately, I aggravated it during training. I will try to be fine for the next race weekends," explained the long-time pilot of the Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team.
